In my general ophthalmic practice I perform small incision cataract surgery (phakoemulsification) as well as treating glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. In my retinal clinic I manage patients with age-related macular degeneration (ARMD), macular hole, retinal detachment and complicated cataracts. 90% of my retinal surgery is performed under a local anaesthetic.

I trained in ophthalmology in Aylesbury and Birmingham. Subsequently, I performed a fellowship in vitreo retinal surgery for one year in Birmingham followed by a further fellowship in both medical and surgical retinal diseases in Toronto.

I am the Training Programme Director for Ophthalmology, East Midlands.
