I am a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with over two years' consultant experience, specialising in conditions of the hand, wrist and elbow. Since 2023, I have worked as a consultant at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, managing a wide range of complex upper limb trauma and elective cases. I was awarded the 2025 Linscheid-Dobyns Excellence in Wrist Surgery Award by the American Society for Surgery of the Hand in recognition of my contributions to wrist surgery research. Through my clinical and research work, I combine evidence-based practice with a patient-centred approach focused on restoring function, reducing pain and helping patients return to their daily activities as quickly and safely as possible.

I specialise in adult hand, wrist and elbow surgery, with particular interests in arthroscopic and joint replacement procedures of the hand and wrist, including arthroplasty, resurfacing and arthrodesis. I also have expertise in complex bone and soft tissue reconstruction for carpal instability and deformity correction, peripheral nerve conditions of the hand and wrist, and both open and arthroscopic elbow surgery, including soft tissue repair, reconstruction and the management of elbow tendinopathies.

I completed my higher surgical training on the East Midlands South (Leicester) rotation and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Trauma and Orthopaedics. I then undertook an advanced post-CCT fellowship in upper limb surgery at the internationally renowned Roth-McFarlane Hand and Upper Limb Centre in Ontario, Canada, further refining my expertise in complex reconstructive and arthroscopic procedures.

Alongside my clinical practice, I have a strong academic interest and completed a master's degree at the University of Oxford. I have authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications and presented my work at numerous national and international conferences. I remain actively involved in research, including leadership roles in biomechanical studies and clinical trials, and have received several research awards. These include the Linscheid-Dobyns Excellence in Wrist Research Award from the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (2025), Best Research Paper awards from the British Society for Surgery of the Hand and the East Midlands Orthopaedic Research Meeting (2021), and Best Research Poster (Sarcoma) at EFORT (2018).

I am passionate about education and training and serve as invited faculty for the BOA Training of Trainers programme, an ATLS Instructor with the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and faculty for the Leicester Hand Fracture Management course. I also lead cadaveric training courses for orthopaedic trainees and am a former examiner and lecturer at the University of Leicester Medical School. In 2017, I received the Caring at its Best Award from University Hospitals of Leicester in recognition of my clinical practice.
