I qualified in 1995 and completed my specialist training in General Surgery with Breast Oncoplastic Surgery as my subspecialty interest in the East Midlands Deanery. I then did a fellowship in oncoplastic breast surgery at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge.
My main clinical interests are modern management of benign breast conditions and breast cancer surgery. I have gained experience in surgical procedures such as skin sparing and nipple sparing mastectomies with immediate reconstruction, breast reconstruction techniques with implant and latissimus dorsi flaps (immediate and delayed), therapeutic mammoplasties, symmetrisation procedures including breast augmentation and reduction, nipple reconstruction, sentinel lymph node biopsies, re-do breast surgery and risk reducing breast surgery.
