I am a consultant general and oncoplastic breast surgeon at Spire Hartswood private hospital in Brentwood, Essex and Spire London East private hospital in Redbridge, Essex, offering general and breast surgery in our clean and comfortable hospitals. As an oncoplastic breast surgeon, I am able to offer immediate reconstruction following mastectomy for breast cancer.

The national Mastectomy and Breast Reconstruction Audit confirmed the take up of reconstructive surgery is low. Several factors account for this including information, awareness and availability of skilled surgeons. In my opinion, breast cancer diagnosis is increasing with more young and fit women being affected with the disease. We now live in an era where we are extremely conscious about our body image. All women being treated should ask their surgeon or breast care nurse about reconstructive surgery.

I also specialise in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery including gallbladder removal (laparoscopic cholecystectomy) and laparoscopic hernia repair. I see children from the age of six months in our outpatient clinics.
