I am a Consultant Paediatrician with over 11 years’ experience at consultant level and more than 30 years working in child health. I care for babies, children and young people with a wide range of general health concerns.
I have particular expertise in children’s heart conditions, neurodisability (including developmental delay and special educational needs), and childhood immunisations. I am trained in performing heart scans (echocardiograms) for newborns and children, and head scans for babies. Over my career, I have carried out more than 1,000 heart scans and over 500 head scans.
I lead a multidisciplinary clinic supporting children with developmental and learning needs, working closely with other specialists to provide joined-up care for families.
My medical training has taken place across several countries. After qualifying in medicine in 1984, I trained and worked in the Indian subcontinent and Middle East, followed by specialist paediatric training in Ireland and the UK. I became a Consultant Paediatrician in 2005 and continue to keep my skills and knowledge fully up to date.
I currently hold senior roles in paediatric cardiology, neurodisability and immunisation and I work with leading children’s heart specialists in London. I am committed to providing safe, high-quality, and compassionate care and I have received awards in recognition of my work with patients and families.
I also teach and support junior doctors and contribute to improving care through clinical leadership and education.

Personal profile
I enjoy spending my spare time with my family and friends exploring the British countryside. I am also a passionate cricket and football fan and I love to travel and discover the world. Likewise, I like to dedicate my time and effort to charities close to my heart such as 'Save the Children'.
