With over 20 years of clinical experience (including 15 years dedicated to personalised care for people living with kidney disease, high blood pressure, and related conditions), I focus on clear communication of diagnosis, collaborative treatment planning, and long-term kidney health.

Kidney health affects every aspect of life, from physical wellbeing to psychological and lifestyle factors. That's why I take a holistic approach, working alongside physiotherapists, psychologists, dietitians and other healthcare professionals to support your whole health journey. I also maintain strong links with GPs, hospital specialists, and national kidney health organisations, ensuring your care is informed by the latest developments and best practices in the field.

I specialise in all aspects of kidney care, including the conditions that can lead to or worsen kidney disease. My particular areas of interest include acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, high blood pressure, and kidney stones. I have also contributed to research in related areas such as gout, kidney disease, and kidney stones, helping to advance our understanding and improve patient care.

In 2018, I was awarded a prestigious NIHR Research for Patient Benefit grant and I continue to be actively involved in research at regional, national, and international levels. I have held several leadership roles and have a strong interest in improving hospital systems to ensure safe, thorough care for people with kidney complications. I’ve also contributed to a national report on standards of care, helping to shape best practices across the UK.

I am the dialysis and systems lead for the East of England Renal Network, I am dedicated to raising awareness about kidney disease and supporting those living with it. I am also an active clinical researcher and co-lead for National Institute of Healthcare research delivery network for renal diseases in the East of England region. I strongly believe that everyone should have access to the latest treatments with proven benefits and the opportunity to contribute to advancing kidney care through research. Kidney disease can be challenging to understand, even for many healthcare professionals, let alone the general public. I strive to find new ways to make kidney health easier to understand for everyone, empowering patients to make informed decisions about their care.
