'Outstanding' Macmillan-accredited chemotherapy ward

Heartwood, our dedicated chemotherapy ward, was opened in 2015 and has been accredited with a Macmillan Quality Environment Mark® (MQEM). Our multidisciplinary team including surgeons, oncologists and specialist nurses will ensure that your treatment is as comfortable as possible. Private chemotherapy treatment at Spire Harpenden Hospital is carried out in the comfort and privacy of your own en-suite room with a state-of-the-art scalp cooling system available to minimise hair loss.

Cancer support group

We know how important a support network can be throughout treatment and after it has finished. For this reason we run a support group every other month for our patients. We invite speakers to talk about subjects relevant to you, as well as leaving plenty of time to meet with other patients to chat.

For more information about our support group speak to Amber Dance, Cancer Nurse Specialist.
