If you've recently been diagnosed with having cancer, your main concern is beating the disease. We'll be here for you every step of the way on this tough journey.
Our expert cancer specialists and their medical teams will help you choose the most suitable and effective treatment for you.
We treat a wide range of cancers including breast, bowel, skin, lung and prostate using some of the latest procedures. These include Single Dose Intra-operative Radiation Therapy for breast cancer and High Intensity Focused Ultrasound.
You'll be treated quickly by the specialist of your choice and at the location of your choice. Our modern and well-equipped cancer treatment clinics are staffed by our expert specialists who'll be there to support you every step of the way - even after your treatment has finished.
We work closely with cancer treatment partners, including GenesisCare, throughout the UK. Many of our hospitals are accredited with Macmillan Cancer Support.
Heartwood, our dedicated chemotherapy ward, was opened in 2015 and has been accredited with a Macmillan Quality Environment Mark® (MQEM). Our multidisciplinary team including surgeons, oncologists and specialist nurses will ensure that your treatment is as comfortable as possible. Private chemotherapy treatment at Spire Harpenden Hospital is carried out in the comfort and privacy of your own en-suite room with a state-of-the-art scalp cooling system available to minimise hair loss.
We know how important a support network can be throughout treatment and after it has finished. For this reason we run a support group every other month for our patients. We invite speakers to talk about subjects relevant to you, as well as leaving plenty of time to meet with other patients to chat. For more information about our support group speak to Amber Dance, Cancer Nurse Specialist.
