Celebrating the local community together

17 September 2018

Spire Harpenden Hospital were proud sponsors of the Nurse / Care Worker of the Year category, for the second year running at The Herts Ad Community Awards. On Wednesday 5th of September Julia Salmon, Hospital Director, presented the award to the very worthy winners of Rennie Grove Hospice.

Remembering the heavy snow in the last year, the nurses from Rennie Grove Hospice went the extra mile to visit extremely unwell patients in their homes, including during the Christmas period. Thinking about the time, effort and care given to their patients, the judges felt that Rennie Grove Hospice were worthy winners of the Nurse/Care Worker of the year.

That evening, we thanked and celebrated the wonderful work from many amazing individuals within the local community. It was a very uplifting evening being surrounded by such inspirational and selfless people who have made a huge impact to so many others. Hearing several moving stories across all categories from Young Achiever to Lifetime Achievement, it’s a night that won’t be forgotten. Spire Harpenden Hospital were proud sponsors of the Nurse / Care Worker of the Year category, for the second year running at The Herts Ad Community Awards. Thank you.
