On his return from the USA, he was appointed at the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath in 1997 as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. He is an examiner at the FRCSOrth examination, where he chairs the oral question standard setting group. He was chair to the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgery Society (BOFAS) Education Committee. He is now president-elect of BOFAS. More recently he has teamed up with David Redfern and a French surgeon to develop minimally invasive (MIS) foot surgery. This is an exciting venture and he has been appointed as chair of the BOFAS MIS group to look into and develop this area within the UK.
