I am a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon with more than 25 years' experience. In addition to general ophthalmology I specialise in cataract surgery and treatment of retinal disorders including macular degeneration, vein occlusions, inflammatory eye disease and diabetic eye disease.
I have done more than 10,000 cataract surgeries including complex cataract cases with excellent surgical outcomes and low complication rates.
Following completion of my Medical Retina Fellowship in Moorfields Eye Hospital, I was offered a substantive consultant post in Surrey and Sussex Healthcare Trust.
As Lead Clinician for Ophthalmology at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare Trust, I have overseen several service improvement projects including introducing virtual clinics in ophthalmology and assisting the Trust in achieving an overall Outstanding CQC rating for the past few years.
In addition to clinical activities as a clinical supervisor I am actively involved in teaching and training juniors.
