I have been a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Hand, Wrist and Elbow trauma and elective conditions since 2017. I pride myself on feedback I have received from my patients being grateful for the time I take in explaining their clinical presentation, and investigations in detail so that they understand their condition and ongoing treatments well.
I specialise in conditions of the hand, wrist and elbow. I offer both operative and non-operative treatments aimed primarily in optimising function. I carry out nerve related surgeries such a carpal, cubital and Guyon canal release as well as denervation surgery to treat wrist pain. For arthritis I can advise on splints and injections,and surgery such as trapeziectomy and joint replacements including thumb base replacement surgery. I also treat tendon conditions such as Tennis/Golfer's elbow, and tendinitis around the wrist and hand e.g trigger finger. I have vast experience in treating fractures of the hand, wrist and elbow.
I have been a T&O Consultant for nearly ten years but I have over 20 years of experience in Trauma and Orthopaedics. I completed my medical degree at the University of Queensland in Australia, but then shortly after moved the the United Kingdom I carried out my Basic Surgical Training at St Georges University Hospital, Tooting, and completed my Higher Surgical Training in the renowned South West London training rotation. I completed the distinguished Chelsea and Westminster Orthopaedic Hand fellowship before being appointed a Consultant at Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust. During this period I also completed a Masters in Musculoskeletal Medicine, with distinction, from University College London, further cementing my knowledge and understanding of musculoskeletal diagnoses. I perform over 400 operations a year including open, minimally invasive and arthroscopic surgeries of the hand, wrist and elbow.
I am a Clinical and Educational supervisor for all grades of junior doctors. I am involved in training and supervising newly qualified doctors all the way to higher speciality trainees - on their path to becoming Orthopaedic Surgeons. I lecture to Brighton Medical School students on Orthopaedics and regularly have UK and international medical students attached to my team. I have many publications in acclaimed medical journals and have presented this work in National and International meetings.

I am currently the Neck of Femur fracture lead at Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust and have been the chair of the Surrey Hand Society (Regional MDT meeting) for the past 10 years.
