Physiotherapy at Spire Dunedin

Increase mobility and reduce pain with the latest techniques and treatments.

Spire Dunedin Hospital has partnered with physio group Physiolistic to offer a dynamic service specialising in all musculoskeletal conditions.

Providing both an in-patient hospital service at Spire Dunedin Hospital and an outpatient service just a two minute drive from the hospital, their multidisciplinary team includes Chartered and HCPC registered physiotherapists. Physiolistic is the trusted name in physiotherapy and also provides physiotherapy services to the McLaren Formula 1 racing team.

We provide assessment and treatment for:

  • Pre- and post-operative rehabilitation
  • Back/neck pain
  • Shoulder injuries
  • Joint pain
  • Sports injury
  • Work-related conditions
  • Jaw pain (temporomandibular joint)
  • Women's health conditions (stress and frequency incontinence)

We offer state-of-the-art facilities with on-site X-ray, MRI and CT; should you need to be referred to a Consultant we are happy to arrange this on your behalf.

Your initial visit to physiotherapy will involve a consultation to establish the history of your condition, an assessment, and possible follow-up treatment plan. Your goals for treatment will be established and you will be advised on what you need to do to achieve these.

In addition to the traditional physiotherapy services, we also offer tecartherapy, dry needling and ECSWT (extra-corporeal shockwave therapy) to treat chronic conditions of the musculoskeletal system

You don't need private medical insurance to be treated. If you are a self-funding patient you don't even need a referral. You can usually get an appointment within 48 hours.
