I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. I was appointed in 2007, providing a Trauma and Elective service and specialising in hip, knee and reconstructive surgery.

I qualified in 1993 from the University of Liverpool and undertook basic and higher surgical training in the North West. I was awarded an MSc in orthopaedic engineering in 2005 from the Cardiff School of Engineering.

I underwent fellowship training in reconstructive surgery at Melbourne University and Bristol.

I am passionate about the future of medical training and am an examiner for the Intercollegiate Board for future orthopaedic surgeons. I'm also passionate about medical leaderships and sit on national committees (including the BMA and British Orthopaedic Association).

I am currently undertaking a master's degree in health and social care management at the University of Reading.
