I am a Consultant Cardiologist at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, Reading. I am experienced in all aspects of general cardiology with sub-specialisation in interventional cardiology.

I was trained in dedicated interventional cardiology programmes at Imperial College Hospitals NHS Trust, London where I was the Senior Interventional Fellow at both St Mary's Hospital, Paddington and The Hammersmith Hospital, London. I also undertook an interventional fellowship at the Clinique Pasteur in Toulouse, France under the supervision of the internationally renowned expert, Dr Jean Fajadet. I am skilled in simple and complex angioplasty and stenting through both the radial and femoral routes. I routinely use IVUS and FFR to direct management and optimise outcomes. Additionally, I have expertise in the use of rotablation for difficult-to-open, calcific arteries. I have performed ASD and PFO closures at The Hammersmith Hospital, London. I am accredited in the use of multi-slice CT angiography in the assessment of chest pain.

I manage difficult to control hypertension. I am the Lead Cardiologist in the Renal Denervation Programme at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

I was awarded the prestigious Shillingford Fellowship from the British Heart Foundation for my research in inherited heart muscle disease (cardiomyopathy) at St George's Hospital Cardiovascular Unit, London. I am widely published in this area and have presented at major international scientific meetings. I have a keen interest in education, both developing and editing a contemporary series on cardiovascular intervention in a peer reviewed journal.
