Spire Claremont Hospital and Cavendish Cancer Care team up to offer expert health talks for local businesses

03 January 2024

Spire Claremont Hospital and Cavendish Wellbeing, the education arm of Cavendish Cancer Care, have come together to offer businesses exclusive expert health talks. 'Let’s Hear from the Experts' is a program of educational, health-focused talks aiming to deliver health and wellbeing awareness to the workforce of Sheffield and the surrounding area.

Leading consultants from Spire Claremont Hospital will team up with the wellbeing experts at Cavendish to deliver these sessions, in return for a donation to the charity. Consultants in Gynaecology, Urology and Orthopaedics will be available to deliver the 'Let’s Hear from the Experts', 60 minute sessions filled with specialist information to staff. Businesses will be able to choose which topics matter most to their workforce. including ‘well woman’ focusing on menstrual and female matters and ‘well man’ covering prostate issues as well as various other subjects by request.

With wellbeing of staff being a primary focus for many businesses around the city since the pandemic, this joint venture will help bring awareness to businesses and employees alike to ask the questions they may not have an opportunity to ask otherwise.

Cavendish Cancer Care will use 100% of the business donations to support local individuals and families dealing with a cancer diagnosis.

Tim Smith, Spire Claremont Hospital Director added "Spire Claremont Hospital are pleased to support the collaboration with Cavendish Wellbeing delivering valuable healthcare talks to the local workforce of Sheffield, supporting local communities and helping local businesses to keep their workforce healthy". Emma Draper, CEO at Cavendish Cancer Care, said; “We’re so pleased to be partnering with Spire Claremont and their wonderful consultants. Since launching Cavendish Wellbeing in 2022 we have seen an increased desire from local business organisations to support the health and wellbeing of their employees with very specific expertise. This is exactly what 'Let’s Hear from the Experts' aims to achieve; by delivering knowledgeable talks and answering the questions that matter. We greatly appreciate Spire Claremont Hospital donating their time to this partnership.”

The two healthcare providers welcome all local businesses to book a session with them.
