I am a competent laparoscopic (keyhole) surgeon for the diagnosis and management of ovarian cysts and pelvic pain, endometriosis. I perform endoscopic (hysteroscopic) surgery for endometrial or uterine polyps and balloon treatments for heavy periods.
I have significant experience in the management of benign gynaecological conditions including the management of pelvic pain, vulval skin conditions and irritation, postmenopausal bleeding, pelvic floor prolapse, subfertility, investigation and treatment of abnormal vaginal bleeding, laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery and the investigation of recurrent miscarriage.
I was appointed as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in 2004. I first qualified from the University Of Wales College Of Medicine in 1994. Following training posts in South Wales and London I held a research post for 2 years at the Cardiff Assisted Reproduction Unit. I am currently clinical director for sexual health at Cwm Taf health board.
