I have been a consultant cardiologist since 1999, specialising in the investigation and non-invasive management of heart valve disease, heart failure, and congenital heart disease.
My subspecialty expertise lies in echocardiography, including stress echocardiograms and transoesophageal echocardiography. As one of the most experienced consultants in echocardiography in Wales, I have been recognised for my extensive expertise and hold a prominent national profile.
I am currently a consultant cardiologist and Associate Medical Director in Cardiff & Vale University Health Board.

I am the Clinical Board Director of Specialist Services at Cardiff & Vale University Health Board, with senior clinical leadership responsibility for regional (adult), specialist services that are offered by CAV for patients across South Wales (2013-present).
I have held a number of leadership positions in cardiology at the University Hospital of Wales including Lead in Echocardiography (1999 - present), Lead Cardiologist (2009-11) and Clinical Director of Cardiac Services (2011-13).
