Having completed core paediatric training across leading centres in the UK, I was selected competitively for national sub-specialty training in paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition in 2015. I commenced my consultant career in Cardiff in 2018 and have been working in a substantive capacity since 2019.

I specialise in paediatric inflammatory bowel diseases (pIBD), including ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease, and paediatric clinical nutrition, particularly intestinal failure. I also have experience in the diagnosis and management of coeliac disease, eosinophilic oesophagitis, gastritis, and functional gastrointestinal disorders.

I have performed over 500 endoscopic procedures, including 300 upper GI endoscopies and 200 colonoscopies over the past 5 years.

I am the lead consultant for paediatric IBD in South Wales and represent paediatrics in IBD Wales. I am lead for paediatric endoscopy at the University Hospital for Wales, where I also founded and run the current paediatric Nutrition Support Team.
