Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital achieves ‘Gold’ award for their catering services

- Following an unannounced visit and inspection earlier this year, the catering team at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital have been awarded ‘Gold’ by CAP (Continuous Advancement Programme).
Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital is proud to announce that it has achieved the prestigious CAP Gold Award for their catering services for the second consecutive year following a visit from the CAP inspection team.
We would like to congratulate all our catering team and supporting colleagues for their dedication and hard work to ensure that our hospital is reaching the highest standards set by CAP, recognising the high-quality catering provision delivered across our site.
The Continuous Advancement Programme (CAP) is a 12-month progressive development scheme for housekeeping/cleaning and catering services in the Healthcare and Education sectors, ensuring positive development and recognition for teams and individuals who are consistently performing exceptional work behind the scenes.

We take great pride in consistently delivering high-quality, patient-focused catering services whilst also maintaining our 5-star EHO rating and successfully receiving a Green Central Catering Audit all within 2 months. These achievements reflect our ongoing commitment to excellence, sustainability, and continuous improvement in the service we provide to our patients, staff and visitors every day.”
