Specialises in
I am a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon based in Cambridge, practising at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital. I have extensive experience in both cosmetic and reconstructive procedures covering a broad range of treatments for the face, breast and body, alongside specialist reconstructive surgery, helping patients achieve a natural, balanced and confident outcome.
I studied medicine at both the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge, where I also spent time teaching anatomy before undertaking my general surgical training. I subsequently specialised in plastic surgery, training in leading centres including Cambridge, South East Thames and Edinburgh, and gaining a wide breadth of experience across the full spectrum of the specialty. Along the way I spent some time in research at the world-renowned Medical Research Council in Cambridge. I trained in the subspecialty of cleft lip and palate surgery in Cambridge, Edinburgh, Billericay and Great Ormond Street Hospitals, as well as visiting several units abroad.
I was appointed as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon in 1997 and have since worked across a wide range of complex reconstructive and cosmetic cases. My experience includes head and neck cancer, breast reconstruction, hand surgery, cosmetic surgery for the ears, eyes, face, nose, body and genitals, advanced skin procedures, aesthetic surgery as well as cleft lip and palate. I continue to work as part of the supraregional cleft team in Cambridge, contributing to highly specialised multidisciplinary care.
