Mr Michael Irwin is a consultant plastic surgeon at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital and Addenbrooke’s Hospital. He is also part of the multi-disciplinary team at the Cambridge Breast Unit. He studied at St Thomas’ Hospital Medical School and has been privileged to train in busy regional plastic surgery units in Chepstow, East Grinstead and London’s Charing Cross Hospital. Mr Irwin acquired additional expertise in breast reconstruction and plastic surgery of the breast in Atlanta, Georgia; in breast reconstruction at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London and in aesthetic (cosmetic) surgery at the Wellington Hospital, London. A period of full time research culminated in him being awarded the Hunterian Professorship by the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
