I am a Consultant Urologist and robotic-assisted Urological Surgeon in Cambridge, based at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital. I specialise in upper urinary tract (kidney) cancer and general urology, with particular expertise in the surgical management of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
At Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital, I routinely perform minimally invasive kidney surgery, including robotic nephrectomy and robotic pyeloplasty using the da Vinci robotic surgical system. These cutting-edge techniques allow for smaller incisions, reduced pain, and faster recovery, while delivering exceptional surgical precision for patients in Cambridge and the surrounding region.
I studied medicine at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London and completed my basic surgical training in Chichester. My research at the Royal College of Surgeons of England focused on the epidemiology and management of benign prostatic hyperplasia, which led to the award of an MD. I then undertook higher urological training in the East of England, gaining specialist experience at Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
In 2012, I was appointed Consultant Urological Surgeon at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, where I established a busy clinical practice in open, laparoscopic and robotic kidney surgery. Today, at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital, I continue to provide expert care using the latest robotic technology for patients seeking advanced urological treatment in Cambridge and East Anglia.
Alongside my clinical work, I maintain a strong academic interest, publishing in peer-reviewed international journals and presenting research at national and international meetings. I am committed to surgical education, regularly teaching medical students and trainees, and serve as an examiner for the FRCS (Urology).
