I am a senior Consultant Haematologist at the West Suffolk NHS Hospital Trust. I have a wealth of experience in all aspects of clinical and laboratory Haematology and since 2003 have been the clinical lead for bleeding and clotting disorders (haemostasis and thrombosis) at the West Suffolk Hospital.
In my NHS role, I have helped to establish and develop the ambulatory deep vein thrombosis (DVT) service, the anticoagulation service and the chemotherapy service. I am a key member of the West Suffolk Hospital Thrombosis Committee, which received a national award for its work in thrombosis prevention in 2013.
I have trained in Cambridge, London and Oxford and developed my specialist interest in bleeding and clotting disorders with a Clinical Research Fellowship in Sydney, Australia.
