I am a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, specialising in complex reconstruction for trauma and cancer. I am also highly skilled in lymphedema surgery and supermicrosurgery. My expertise spans reconstruction in the lower limb after trauma or after bone infection, and skin cancer assessment and excision with reconstruction if required. I also reconstruct non-healing wounds and defects in the trunk, head and neck regions. I have extensive experience in microvascular free flap reconstruction, achieving a success rate of more than 95%.
I have performed thousands of procedures to date, ranging from free flap reconstruction to lymphedema surgery. I am also an honorary consultant at Royal Papworth Hospital where I perform complex chest wall flap reconstructions on a regular basis.
I specialise in lymphatic surgery - Lymphovenous anastomosis, vascularised lymph node transfer and liposuction for lymphedema, microsurgical reconstruction or free tissue transfer and skin cancer diagnosis, resection and reconstruction. I also specialise in Oriental cosmetic surgical techniques like double eyelid surgery or Oriental blepharoplasty; I use Oriental techniques for non-surgical rejuvenation of the face with Botox and fillers.
I offer complex reconstruction of the head and neck, lower limb extremity reconstruction and chest wall reconstruction.
Beyond my clinical practice, I am also a dedicated researcher and educator. I have authored over 150 publications and contributed book chapters in the Oxford Textbook of Plastic Surgery. I also featured on the Discovery Channel documentary - 'The Face Doctors'.
