Specialises in
I am a fellowship-trained consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in shoulder and upper limb surgery. With international training in Egypt, Germany and advanced fellowships training in the UK, I bring over 20 years of surgical experience.
I provide expert care in shoulder arthroscopy, joint replacement, trauma, and complex upper limb reconstruction. I am also known for my meticulous surgical technique, use of modern minimally invasive procedures, and personalised patient care.
With over 20 years of experience and advanced training in shoulder keyhole (arthroscopic) and joint replacement surgery, I’ve helped hundreds of patients regain mobility and quality of life. I’m committed to delivering personalised, evidence-based care in a supportive environment. I also lead clinical quality and teaching programmes, and examine for the Royal College of Surgeons, ensuring the highest standards in training and patient safety. My aim is to provide expert care tailored to each patient’s needs — from diagnosis through to recovery.
I take on several leadership roles that reflect my commitment to clinical excellence, education, and quality improvement. I serve as the NHFD/NAFF lead, overseeing national audit participation and data quality to enhance patient outcomes in hip fracture care. As the Quality Improvement Project (QIP) lead for Year 4 GKT medical students, I mentor future doctors in developing critical thinking and project implementation skills. Additionally, I contribute to professional standards and assessment as an MRCS examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, supporting the next generation of surgical trainees.
I am an active peer reviewer for several leading international orthopaedic journals. Since 2022, I have completed 53 peer reviews across five peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Clinical Orthopaedics and Trauma (18 reviews), Journal of Orthopaedics (16 reviews), Journal of Orthopaedic Reports (13 reviews), Journal of Hand Surgery Global Online (3 reviews), and the Journal of ISAKOS (3 reviews).
My reviewing work reflects a broad expertise across upper limb surgery, orthopaedic trauma, arthroplasty, and sports-related injuries, contributing to the maintenance of high academic and clinical standards in orthopaedic research.
