Our head and neck clinic is a private clinic for patients with various concerns about their head and neck health run by our Consultant ENT and Head and Neck Surgeon, Mr Andrew Moore

The clinic offers a fixed price package to get fast diagnosis to see the consultant and have a camera investigation on the same day. This will be followed by an MRI scan as well as a follow-up consultation with the consultant.

When should I go to the head and neck clinic?

If you are worried about any of the following problems then you may wish to attend our head and neck clinic:

  • Persistent sore throat
  • Hoarse voice
  • Swallowing problems
  • Swollen tonsils
  • Neck lump(s)
  • Thyroid swelling
  • Salivary gland swelling
  • Throat cancer

What does the clinic provide?

Our head and neck clinic assessment includes:

  • A consultation with ENT Head and Neck Consultant, Mr Andrew Moore
  • Same-day diagnostic fibre-optic endoscopy (nasolaryngoscopy)
  • MRI scan of the head and neck reported by head and neck radiologist*
  • A follow-up consultation with Mr Moore*

*If an MRI is deemed necessary

Do I need a referral?

We are happy to see patients without a referral from their GP.

What happens after?

As a result of the initial assessment, further tests or treatments may be recommended, including:

  • Ultrasound of the neck
  • Ultrasound-guided biopsy of neck lump
  • CT of the neck and chest
  • Panendoscopy (an examination of your upper trachea (windpipe), voice box and top of your oesophagus (food pipe) with or without tonsillectomy
