I graduated from King's College School of Medicine, London, and have dual accreditation from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) as an obstetrician and gynaecologist, and as a specialist in gynaecological oncology. Following completion of training in obstetrics and gynaecology in the North East Thames, I undertook a fellowship at St George's Hospital and then completed subspecialty training in gynaecological cancer at The Royal Marsden Hospital.

I have certification from the RCOG in colposcopy, laparoscopy, and gynaecological ultrasound. Within my NHS post I specialise in the early detection and treatment of gynaecological cancer: endometrial, cervical, ovarian, vulval and vaginal. I have expertise in the management of early stage to advanced stage cancer, and am qualified to perform both open and laparoscopic surgery. I also perform colposcopy in patients with abnormal smears and offer treatment under local anaesthesia where appropriate.

I have presented at both national and international meetings on early stage ovarian cancer; the surgical management of bowel obstruction in ovarian cancer; and on surgery for recurrent ovarian cancer. I continue to teach at the Institute of Cancer Research.

I welcome appropriate patients wishing to refer and pay for treatment themselves without the need for a GP's letter of referral.
