I am an experienced Consultant ENT Surgeon practising at Spire Washington Hospital, where I see patients from across County Durham, Darlington, North Yorkshire, Teesside, Tyneside and Cumbria. I provide weekly clinics and offer remote consultations where appropriate, alongside a range of outpatient procedures including nasal endoscopy, ear wax removal and nasal cautery.
I deliver expert care for both adults and children with a wide range of ear, nose and throat conditions. My practice covers general ENT, including the assessment and management of hearing loss, nosebleeds (epistaxis), benign neck lumps and common paediatric conditions such as tonsillitis, glue ear and obstructive sleep apnoea. I also perform procedures such as grommet insertion, laryngoscopy, adult tonsillectomy, snoring treatment, and advanced sinus surgery including functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) and balloon sinuplasty for chronic sinusitis.
My subspecialty interest is rhinology (nasal conditions), and I am the lead Rhinologist within my NHS department. I regularly treat nasal polyps, chronic sinusitis, nasal blockage and deformity, including deviated septum and trauma-related concerns, as well as managing complex and revision sinus surgery.
I graduated from the University of Aberdeen and have practised exclusively in ENT since 2005, with extensive training across Scotland and the North of England. Alongside my NHS Consultant role, I work closely with audiologists, balance therapists and speech and language specialists to provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary care.
