I am a Consultant Bariatric, Upper Gastrointestinal (UGI) and General Surgeon with a specialist interest in metabolic and bariatric surgery, upper gastrointestinal conditions and minimally invasive surgery. Since 2023, I have been committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, combining advanced surgical expertise with a personalised and compassionate approach.
I perform more than 700 procedures each year and have extensive experience in the management of obesity and metabolic conditions, helping patients achieve long-term improvements in health and wellbeing through the latest bariatric surgical techniques. My approach focuses on understanding each patient's individual goals and tailoring treatment plans to provide the best possible outcomes.
In addition to bariatric surgery, I specialise in the treatment of a wide range of upper gastrointestinal conditions, including reflux disease and dyspepsia. I also have significant expertise in gallbladder surgery, bile duct stone disease, and the management of hiatus, inguinal and abdominal wall hernias using both open and laparoscopic (keyhole) techniques.
I regularly perform upper gastrointestinal endoscopy (gastroscopy/OGD) for both diagnostic assessment and treatment planning, including the evaluation of patients considering bariatric surgery. Wherever possible, I utilise minimally invasive techniques to support faster recovery and a quicker return to normal activities.
My aim is to provide clear advice, evidence-based treatment and compassionate support throughout every stage of care, ensuring patients feel informed, reassured and confident in their treatment decisions.
Outside of my professional work, I value quality time with my wife and three children, and I enjoy catching up regularly with friends. This balance allows me to bring a focused and positive energy to my practice, helping my patients achieve the best possible quality of life.
