Professional profile

I offer a specialist foot and ankle service at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead. I completed my Higher Surgical Training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in the Northern Deanery, Newcastle upon Tyne. I held an Advanced Surgical Training Fellowship placement in Foot and Ankle Surgery at The Sheffield University Hospital and was a proud winner of BOFAS visiting Fellowship at Zurich.

I offer a bespoke approach, tailored to each patient’s specific problem. I have a special interest in treatment of young patients with arthritis and soft tissue reconstructive surgery for sport related injuries around the ankle joint. I travel across the world to keep my skills up to date with new emerging techniques treating these injuries. I am clear and honest in my communication about any procedure, rehabilitation and likely outcome.

I have a Certificate degree in Evidence Based Orthopaedics (EBO) from Middlesbrough University. I play an active role in junior doctor education and training orthopaedic surgeons.
