I am a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive, Aesthetic and Head and Neck Surgeon based in Durham. I have been working in plastic and aesthetic surgery for more than 15 years, during which time I have developed broad experience across both reconstructive and cosmetic procedures. Over the course of my career, I have performed more than 8,000 operations, and currently care for over 4,200 patients each year across my NHS and private practice.

I specialise in aesthetic surgery and non-surgical treatments. This includes procedures such as pinnaplasty (ear reshaping), brow lift, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), and a full range of breast surgery including augmentation, reduction, uplift and treatment of gynaecomastia. I also carry out body contouring procedures such as abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), arm and thigh lifts, liposuction and fat transfer. In addition, I provide non-surgical treatments including anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers.

My aim is always to achieve natural-looking results while ensuring a high standard of care and attention for every patient.

I graduated from medical school with Distinction and completed around a decade of specialist training in plastic surgery, both in the UK and internationally. This training culminated in being awarded the Ian McGregor Gold Medal for outstanding performance in the FRCS (Plast) examination in 2018.

Following this, I undertook highly regarded fellowships in cancer surgery, reconstruction and cosmetic surgery in the UK and overseas. I also completed the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) Aesthetic Fellowship in London and the North East, further advancing my experience in aesthetic procedures.

Alongside my clinical work, I am actively involved in medical education and training. I am the Educational Lead for the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, and I sit on the North East Regional Surgical Training Committee. I am also Course Director for the International North East Flap course.

I contribute to teaching at many levels, acting as a faculty member on national and international plastic surgery courses, and providing training for both regional and national trainees. I am also Lead Clinical Supervisor for medical students within my NHS Trust and take part in interviewing and examining doctors throughout their careers. In addition, I am an Associate Lecturer at Newcastle University Medical School.

I have published a range of research papers covering plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, contributing to the wider evidence base in my field. I also act as a reviewer for professional journals and publications, including PMFA and JPRAS.

I understand that choosing to undergo surgery, particularly aesthetic procedures, is a very personal decision. I focus on providing clear, honest advice and taking the time to understand your goals and expectations. My approach is centred on delivering safe, personalised care and helping you feel confident and supported throughout your treatment journey.
