Dr Ian David Pedley

I graduated from the University of Leeds Medical School and completed my early medical training in Leeds. During this time, I achieved both Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR), reflecting my training across both medicine and radiology.

I went on to work within the academic unit at the Royal Marsden Hospital, gaining valuable experience in a leading specialist cancer centre before taking up my position as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist in Newcastle.

I have developed significant experience in the diagnosis and treatment of urological and gastrointestinal cancers. This includes cancers affecting the prostate, bladder and kidneys, as well as cancers of the digestive system.

I aim to provide clear, supportive care for patients facing a cancer diagnosis. I understand that this can be an uncertain and challenging time, and I focus on ensuring that treatment plans are carefully explained and tailored to each individual’s needs.
