I am a Consultant Medical Oncologist at Spire Washington Hospital, specialising in the treatment of colorectal and urological cancers for patients across the North East.
I graduated in 1992 and joined the Northern Centre for Cancer Care at Newcastle Freeman Hospital in 1997, where I completed a research degree in early drug development at Newcastle University.
I treat primarily colorectal (bowel) and urological cancers; prostate, bladder and testicular. As a principal investigator, I am actively involved in national and international clinical trials, giving my patients access to innovative treatments and new therapies where appropriate.
I work closely within specialist multidisciplinary teams across the region, including supra-regional teams for testicular, hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) and urological cancers at the Freeman Hospital, as well as colorectal and urology teams at Sunderland Royal Hospital and South Tyneside District Hospital. This ensures every patient benefits from a collaborative, expert-led approach to diagnosis and treatment planning.
