I graduated in 1992 and joined the cancer centre at Newcastle Freeman Hospital in 1997 as a registrar where I completed a research degree in early drug development at Newcastle University.

I treat primarily colorectal and urological cancers and I am actively involved, as a principal investigator, in a number of national and international clinical trials both in urological and colorectal cancers.

I am also a member of the following multidisciplinary teams: Supra-regional Testis, Supra-regional HPB and Urology at Freeman hospital. Urology and Colorectal at the Sunderland Royal Hospital and Colorectal at Freeman Hospital & South Tyneside District Hospital.
