I qualified from Manchester Medical School (UK) in 1999 and underwent post-graduate specialist cardiology training at Harefield, Royal Brompton and St Thomas' hospitals. I have a specialist interest in heart failure, cardiomyopathy and cardiac rhythm management devices. I achieved a postgraduate medical doctorate (MD), awarded by University of London in 2009, for research conducted at Imperial College London and the Royal Brompton Hospital, evaluating the early high risk period in patients with a new diagnosis of heart failure, particularly focusing on early prognosis and psychological impact of heart failure.
