I am an honorary Consultant Cardiologist at Barts Heart Centre and a Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London. Alongside my NHS and academic roles, I see private patients at Spire Thames Valley Hospital in Slough.

My aim is to provide patients with prompt access to expert assessment, accurate diagnosis and a clear plan for treatment. I offer a comprehensive local cardiology diagnostic service for patients across East Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas.

Having grown up locally, I attended Slough Grammar School before studying Medicine at Trinity College, Oxford. I completed my undergraduate clinical training at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals in 1991 before specialising in general and interventional cardiology at St Bartholomew's Hospital, The London Chest Hospital and The Royal London Hospital. In 2001, I was awarded an MD from the University of London for my research into coronary artery disease.

I was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at Wexham Park Hospital in 2004, where I was part of the team that established invasive and interventional cardiology services locally, allowing many patients to receive specialist treatment closer to home rather than travelling into London.

Following the completion of a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Simulation, I joined Barts Heart Centre as Director of Cardiovascular Simulation. Teaching has always been an important part of my career, and I continue to train Specialist Registrars in a wide range of interventional cardiology procedures using simulation-based education. These include pericardiocentesis, permanent pacemaker implantation, temporary pacing wire insertion, coronary angiography and coronary angioplasty. I believe simulation provides a safe and effective way for doctors to develop the technical skills and confidence needed to deliver the highest standards of patient care.
