Professional profile

I specialise in the diagnosis and management of tumours of the liver, pancreas, biliary tract and stomach, including the application and evaluation of the most advanced minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques - having pioneered the first Robotic Combined Liver and Colonic resection in the UK. After specialist training and certification in foregut cancer surgery in London, I obtained focused sub-specialist training in Hepatobiliary Pancreatic and Gastric Surgery and Liver Transplantation at St James' Hospital in Leeds and University of Tokyo Hospital. Following this I joined the Royal Marsden faculty in 2008, where I have developed one of the busiest specialist practices in London and where I head one of the top notch teams, recognised internationally as a leader in hepatic, biliary tract, gastric and pancreatic surgery.

My research interests focus on defining protocols and best practice for Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic diseases having published over 100 peer reviewed articles. With my team, I deal with around 100 new cases of HPB cancers and related complex conditions a year and receive cases for second opinion from throughout the UK and worldwide.
