Dr Sunil Arora
Consultant in Anaesthetics and Pain Medicine
MBChB FRCA FFPMRCA PostGradCert
I am a consultant in anaesthetics and pain medicine. I have extensive experience in managing patients with acute pain, chronic pain and cancer-related pain. I manage patients suffering from all types of short term and persistent pain, including the knee, back, neck, elbow and shoulder pain, as well as abdominal pain and complex regional pain syndrome. I use innovative techniques such as radiofrequency techniques and injections to relieve the symptoms of migraines. I am committed to providing excellent care to my patients using a holistic, patient-centred approach to ensure the best management plan.
I provide diagnosis and a full range of interventional and non-interventional treatments for painful conditions where surgery is not indicated or not yet needed. Common conditions treated include degenerative and arthritic conditions, back and knee injury. I can provide interventional techniques such as back and neck epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, nerve root injections and pulsed radiofrequency to help reduce pain.
I perform pain procedures for headaches, neck, shoulder, elbow, wrists, hands, rib, abdomen, back, hip, knee, ankle and foot. In addition, I treat patients with post-surgical pain.
I am the cancer pain lead for Frimley Park Hospital. I am on the British Society of Pain special interest group in education.
