FRCP PhD FACC
I have been a consultant cardiologist for 13 years. I have a particular interest in diseases affecting the heart’s blood supply and the heart’s valves. Having spent two years as a interventional cardiology fellow in Washington DC, I returned to the UK first as an NIHR clinical lecturer in Cambridge and then as a senior lecturer at the University of Surrey. In 2016, I joined the cardiology team at Southampton and was awarded a personal chair at the University of Southampton in 2024.
My areas of clinical interest include coronary artery disease, chemotherapy-induced heart disease (cardio-oncology), alcohol septal ablation for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and cardiac biopsy. I am currently the clinical lead for the mitral and tricuspid valve edge-to-edge service at University Hospital Southampton NHS FT
