I am a highly experienced vascular and endovascular surgeon currently practising at Southampton University Hospital.

As a vascular surgeon with over 11 years of experience, I have a wealth of knowledge and expertise to draw upon. And have successfully completed more than 3,000 vascular operations in the NHS and Egypt, and am dedicated to providing the highest level of care to my patients.

My current practice involves elective management of the complete range of vascular diseases including aneurysms, carotid artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, renal access and varicose veins.

I have a particular interest in advanced endovascular procedures for aortic aneurysms, peripheral arterial disease, and endovenous ablation for varicose veins.

I received my medical degree from Cairo University in 2007 and have since completed advanced training in vascular and endovascular surgery in the East of England, London, Kent, Surrey, and Sussex deaneries. I also received a travel grant to receive further training at the Hamburg Centre in Germany.

I am currently a member of the faculty for the ChM in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the University of Edinburgh, a distance learning degree programme delivered online in partnership with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

I have been an e-Tutor for the Chronic Limb Ischaemia and Complications of Diabetes module for the past two academic years (2018/19 and 2019/20), and have played a role in the development of the module according to the UK Intercollegiate Surgical Curriculum.

I have passion for vascular care. In my professional life, I am dedicated to helping patients manage their conditions and improve their quality of life. In my personal life, I am a husband and father of two, and I enjoy staying active by playing basketball (I even played for the Egyptian national team) and football, as well as walking, diving, and reading.

I am always looking for ways to learn and grow, both personally and professionally. That's why I love to travel and explore new places, and why I am constantly seeking out new techniques and approaches to my work. I believe that an open mind and a sense of adventure are key to staying motivated and achieving success in whatever we do.
