"Working at Spire Southampton complements my NHS role at University Hospital Southampton and allows me to provide patients with more dedicated time in a relaxed and accessible setting."
I am a consultant in respiratory and general medicine with over 17 years of experience caring for people with a wide range of lung and breathing conditions. I am fully accredited in Respiratory Medicine, Intensive Care Medicine, and General Internal Medicine, and I look after both outpatients and hospital inpatients with conditions such as asthma, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, bronchiectasis, lung infections, and lung cancer.
I specialise in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of lung and breathing conditions, including lung cancer, asthma, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, bronchiectasis, chronic or recurrent chest infections, and unexplained breathlessness or persistent cough. I also care for patients with smoking-related lung conditions, occupational lung diseases, and sleep-related breathing problems.
My practice involves thorough assessment and access to advanced investigations, including high-resolution CT scans, PET-CT scans for cancer assessment, and full pulmonary function testing (PFTs) — such as spirometry, gas transfer, and body plethysmography. I interpret chest X-rays and imaging findings in the context of the patient’s symptoms and clinical background. Where appropriate, I arrange referrals for more detailed investigations, including surgical biopsy, oncology, or specialist physiotherapy such as pulmonary respiratory physiotherapy.
I lead the Pulmonary Nodule Service and am the Responsible Clinician for the Southampton Targeted Lung Health Check (TLHC) programme, which aims to detect lung problems at an early stage through NHS screening. I also serve as the Lung Cancer Lead for the Respiratory Department, working closely with a team of specialists to provide clear, coordinated care tailored to each patient.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and spending quality time with my family. I love swimming and cycling through the beautiful New Forest, where I also enjoy walking my lovely dog. When my back allows, I like rowing and sailing a dinghy. I’m a big fan of DIY projects around the house, and I cherish moments taking my wife and kids out for walks, making the most of the great outdoors together. I also enjoy a good night out—whether it’s going to the cinema, theatre, or a small music concert. I often return to Greece for holidays, as it’s where my roots lie, and I love cooking for my friends when I’m home. These activities help me stay balanced and bring energy and focus to my work.
