Professional profile

In addition to general surgery I specialise in obesity and metabolic surgery, bilary (gallstone) surgery, antireflux (hiatus hernia) surgery and hernia surgery.

I began my training in London before moving to the South West and then finally to Dorset and Hampshire for my Specialist Higher Surgical Training.

During this time I spent two and half years in South Africa working in trauma and General Surgery units and completed my Masters in Surgical Science at Imperial College in London. Following a Fellowship in Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery at University College Hospital London, I was appointed as an NHS consultant at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth.

Personal Profile

I live in Hampshire with my wife and children who keep me on my toes. I enjoy paddling my surfski in the sea, gardening, and cycling when my daughters and son allow it.
