Professional profile

I qualified from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2003 and was lucky enough to get my first junior rotational post at Bradford Teaching Hospitals. During my time at Bradford my passion for treating musculoskeletal problems developed due to the experience and knowledge of the clinicians I was working with. I moved from Bradford to a senior post in Harrogate. This post was a new role split between the orthopaedic wards and the outpatient department in an attempt to bridge the gap in communication between the ward and the outpatients’ team. I enjoyed the job however always saw myself working in a rehabilitation setting so I took the opportunity to move into a static post in the gym. This allowed me to enhance and progress my skills with lower limb rehabilitation. Around the same time I took my Pilates qualifications which I have been able to cross over into the gym for the lower limb patients.

My real passion has always been in treating ACL reconstructions. Since moving to Methley Park I have developed a rehabilitation service. We see many patients returning back to a high level of sport. We have a close working relationship with the orthopaedic surgeons which makes the patients journey from the pre-operative phase through to surgery and into rehabilitation a smooth one.
