I am currently a Consultant Breast and General Surgeon at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. After graduating from Madurai Medical College in India, I completed surgical training at Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey and later in the West Midlands at Good Hope Hospital, Heartland Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
I gained FRCS from Edinburgh Royal College of Surgeons in 1995 and gained my second intercollegiate FRCS in 2008 in general and breast surgery.
I have presented research papers at national and international Conferences and have won awards.

I am married to a medical librarian and I have a son who is a budding dentist studying at King's College in London.
I am keen photographer and enjoys music in any form. I am also a dedicated volunteer at a local Hindu temple and I love to travel.
