I am a full-time Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust and Birmingham Children's Hospital. I have been practising in the UK for 18 years.

I specialise in treating a wide range of spinal problems in adults and children. This includes both conservative and surgical management of back, neck and arm pain, sciatica, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and spinal deformity, spinal trauma and infection.

I was awarded my medical degree from the University of Manchester and also hold a BSc degree from Imperial College of Science, Technology & Medicine, London and a Master’s degree from the University of Manchester.

I have completed advanced spinal surgical fellowships training with Professor Ken Cheung (Hong Kong), Professor Ralph Mobbs (Sydney) and Professor Robert Dunn (Cape Town) as well as specialist spinal fellowship training in Sheffield and Birmingham in the United Kingdom.

I was awarded the prestigious AOSpine and British Orthopaedic Association travelling fellowships during my surgical training career.

I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, a member of AOSpine, the British Association of Spinal Surgeons and the Scoliosis Research Society and Paediatric Spine Study Group.
