I've held a substantive consultant appointment at University Hospitals Birmingham since 2006.
I am a member of the head and neck and thyroid multidisciplinary teams. My main areas of interest and experience are thyroid surgery, voice and throat problems, and salivary gland surgery, as well as general ENT medicine and surgery. I am a high volume thyroid surgeon (I perform over 50 operations per year) and I also run a specialist voice clinic.
I graduated from Bristol University in 1993 and worked in the North West and Wales before undertaking higher specialist training in the West Midlands. I became a consultant in 2006.
