"The environment is friendly and supportive and helps bring out the best of you."
I have been specialising in gynaecology since 2008 and I have a special interest in laparoscopy (keyhole surgery) and colposcopy. I specialise in general gynaecology with specific expertise in gynaecological oncology surgery, advanced laparoscopic surgery and minimal access surgery.
I treat patients with general gynaecological complaints such as menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, endometriosis, pre-menstrual syndrome, menopause and post-menopausal bleeding. To date I have performed over 600 laparoscopies and over 1,000 hysteroscopies to treat and investigate a variety of gynaecological conditions.
I am a certified colposcopist and member of the BSCCP so I'm able to perform smear tests, colposcopy and treatment to the cervix to treat cervical pathology or post coital bleeding. I also perform outpatient hysteroscopy and operative outpatient procedures such as endometrial polyp and fibroid resection and endometrial ablation.
I am the hysteroscopy lead for University Hospitals of Birmingham. I am a core member of the oncology MDT and the colposcopy MDT enabling me to discuss patients with confirmed or suspected cancer and complex colposcopy patients.
