Some of the principal treatments carried out by Professor Nigel John Brunskill at Spire include:
Professor Brunskill treats all general nephrological (kidney) disease, especially reno-vascular disease and hypertension, progressive renal disease and renal disease in pregnancy.
My post-graduate training in nephrology was extensive and included experience at several centres in the UK and three years in St Louis, Missouri, USA. I am now in a position to offer a comprehensive clinical service in general nephrology. My particular clinical interests are in hypertension and renal disease in pregnancy, and the investigation and treatment of reno-vascular and other progressive renal diseases. My clinical interests and expertise are facilitated and supported by an active laboratory research programme. My expertise in these areas is recognised and I am regularly invited to lecture at international meetings. I also sit on the editorial board of two medical journals.

My busy professional life is accompanied by an equally busy personal life. Much time is spent with my two children, but otherwise my major interests outside work are sporting.I have always been a football player and I continue to play regularly, whilst maintaining my general fitness by running. When not playing football, I can often be found spectating. As a Lancastrian I have been a lifelong supporter of Blackburn Rovers.Back to top
