MBChB DOHNS MD FRCS (ORL-HNS)
I have been a doctor now for over two decades with my heart of medical roots all set in Leicester and the county. My main role is an ENT surgeon who specialises in both benign and malignant disease process in both adults and children. My super specialist interests are LASER surgery and robotic head & neck surgery. I am also an academic surgeon who is actively involved in improving the outcomes for patients with head and neck disease. I am a specialist in tonsil surgery and offer High Intensity Tonsil Surgery in all sectors; with rapid surgery with good outcomes for patients with minimal hospital stay. My practice also include managing complex head neck paediatric patients.
I provide general ENT work for hearing loss, balance disorders, nasal obstruction, rhinitis and skin lesions. I have a diverse specialist interest and practice that includes both benign and malignant disease processes in both adults and children. This includes (but is not limited to) thyroid problems, salivary glands, neck lumps, airway issues, voice issues, non-surgical anti-wrinkle treatment, snoring surgery, and skin lesions of the head & neck. My specialist interests are LASER surgery and robotic head & neck surgery using the DaVinci robot, for which I have completed an additional two years of training beyond my training to become a consultant.
I am also an academic surgeon actively involved in improving outcomes for patients with head and neck disease. I am a specialist in tonsil surgery and offer High Intensity Tonsil Surgery across all sectors. This includes rapid surgery and good patient outcomes, using the BiZact® device to deliver it. My practice also includes managing complex head neck paediatric patients where I am involved in multiregional MDTs.
I specialise in both benign and malignant head and neck conditions. Over my 18 years of being a surgeon I have been involved in excess of 4000 operations.
Super specailist intrests are LASER surgery and robotic head & neck surgery, for which I have carried out two additional years of training on top of the training to become a consultant ENT surgeon.
I have several niche specialist areas of interest, including head and neck cancer, high-intensity tonsil surgery, snoring surgery, no burp syndrome and skin lesions.
In my spare time, I am a rugby coach for a local Midi section and a magician. I am a member of the Leicester Magic Circle and the Nottingham Guild of Magicians.
