Some of the principal treatments carried out by Professor Ian W Ormiston at Spire include:
Oral and maxillofacial surgery
I have a background in dentistry, medicine and surgery.
As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, my surgical remit includes surgery of the mouth, jaw and face. This includes dental surgery involving the teeth but also for cysts and trauma.
My special interest is in surgery for facial disharmony involving correction of jaw discrepancies. A further interest of mine is in bone grafting of the mouth and jaws, particularly in reconstruction following cleft lip and palate surgery and trauma, and in pre-prosthetic and implant surgery.
