MBChB MSc FRCS(Tr&Orth)
I am a fellowship-trained hip and knee surgeon, working as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon in my NHS role at the University Hospitals of Leicester since 2022.
I help patients with hip and knee arthritis, joint damage, and complex hip conditions, including corrective surgery for previous joint replacements. My approach is collaborative and patient-focused, aiming to help you return to your everyday activities as quickly and safely as possible.
Procedures I perform include total hip replacement, partial and total knee replacement, complex primary and revision hip surgery for failed or infected joints, trauma-related procedures, and joint injections. I also regularly provide day case joint replacement surgery, with patients returning home within 24 hours.
In my NHS role at University Hospitals of Leicester, I am part of the regional complex arthroplasty team, lead orthopaedic infections meetings, and helped develop the Leicester Enhanced Arthroplasty Pathway. I am actively involved in research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to national committees, meetings, and training courses. My involvement in research ensures I use the latest, evidence-based techniques to improve patient outcomes. I currently serve as webmaster for the Bone and Joint Infection Society, and also hold a Master’s degree in teaching and learning for healthcare professionals.
